英文摘要:

      Diagonal similarity generally applies to only a few cases concerning metals and metallois.This paper gave a detailed demonstration of the similarity between oxygen and chlorine using the ionic polarization concept and other theories.It enriched the content and implication of diagonal similarity and extended it to the domain of nonmetals. It also tried to interpret some experimental facts and phenomena and made some investigation of the relative applications.\;
