Kunty salt lake is a secondary fault basin in northwest Qaidam basin. It contains very abundant brine resources. In order to explore the changing regularities of unconfined brine chemical components in Kunty mine with water supplement, this paper uses hydro-chemical analysis method to ascertain the changing regularities and distribution characteristics of Ca2 , K , Na , Mg2 , SO42-and Cl-. In May and July 2015, we collected brine samples in 33 observation wells and analyzed the concentration of Ca2 , K , Na , Mg2 , HCO3-, SO42- and Cl-in unconfined brine of Kunty mine. Based on the testing data, the results showed: With the continual water supplement, the hydro-chemical constituents in unconfined brine of Kunty mine showed a significant change in time and space. The concentrations of K , Na , Mg2 and SO42- increased while the concentrations of Ca2 and Cl- declined in May and July 2015. Na presented higher amplitude of concentration variation in time. The concentrations of K , Mg2 and SO42- in unconfined brine were much higher in the middle and southeast while much lower in the north of the mine. The water supplement could suitably enlarge the concentration of K and promote the quality of the unconfined brine in the Kunty mine. |
